Updated: 2026-03-14

Legacy Planning lets you track tasks and store estate-related documents in one place.

Where to Find It

Open Legacy Planning from the sidebar (/dashboard/estate-planning). The dashboard Legacy card shows a few tasks and your document count; click the card title to open Legacy Planning.

Tabs

  • All — tasks and documents together.
  • Tasks — only legacy tasks.
  • Documents — only estate documents.

Tasks

  • Create a task: Add a task with a title, status (Not started / In progress / Completed), priority (High / Medium / Low), and due date.
  • View and edit: Click a task to open its detail sheet. Edit or delete from there.
  • The list shows status icons so you can see progress at a glance.

Documents

  • Add a document: Upload or link an estate document. Choose a category:
    • Will
    • LPA (Lasting Power of Attorney)
    • Schedule of Assets
    • Last Wishes
    • Other
  • For each document you can set: name, date, status (Not started / In progress / Completed), and notes.
  • View and manage: Open a document from the list to view or edit details in the document sheet.

Dashboard Link

The dashboard Legacy card shows up to three tasks and the number of saved estate documents. Clicking Legacy takes you to the full Legacy Planning page.

Tip

Use document categories consistently (Will, LPA, Schedule of Assets, etc.) so you can find and filter documents easily later.
